Processing

In modern manufacturing, wool is almost exclusively machine processed. Only particularly high-quality products are still combed by hand and short-wool fibres sorted out. A slight unevenness of structure is very characteristic of the handspun woolen Kilim. Works selected by ISTEK are mostly hand-combed.
